Na Koikoi Aziza Zenzile Kintehg  (which means After the Queen, Precious, One Who Controls Her Destiny) is a Poet/Activist, Griot, Author, Vocalist, Educator, and Hair Culturalist, who utilizes her gift to uplift her culture, promote black womanhood in a positive light, and cultivate a consciousness for social change.  Alumna of Eckerd College and Temple University's School's of Journalism and Communication;  She was first published at the age of ten by the "Weekly Reader", for winning 1st prize in a national contest for a short story about family values and sharing. Azizag self published her first book of poetry  "I Am Aziza"  in 2003. She has  also been published in three “Poetry Ink Anthologies including the 10th and 15th Anniversary editions, The Real News”, ” Hair Stories”, “NOW(then)”,, “Howard University’s Amistad Literary Journal”, “The Apiary”, ” Versadelphia‏”, and  E  Pluribus Unum: An Anthology of Diverse Voices”.  She has traveled extensively throughout the coast of West Africa, South and Central America, the Caribbean, Europe, and the West Indies. Azizag  is also a graduate of Berean Institute's School of Cosmetology and licensed by the State of Pennsylvania as a Cosmetology Teacher.  She conducts workshops on Natural Beauty Culture and lectures on her experiences with West African Cultures.  For the past eight years,  Azizag has acted as host to  a 1st Friday venues that provides an outlet for free form expressions of art and  culture  in the community;  now housed at The Nile Cafe   Azizag is also featured in "The Connection"  a documentary film about relationships directed by Nisa RA coming to a theatre near you!!!!!!  She is curently awaiting publication for "Traveling Lite her second book of poetry.
